CyberLawNews.com – Pangkalpinang In an effort to strengthen strategic partnerships between the Police and local communities, the Directorate of Community Guidance (Ditbinmas) of the Bangka Belitung Islands Regional Police held a partnership development meeting with the Community Organization (Ormas) BARETTA, a partner of the National Police, on Wednesday (May 28, 2025), at the DPD BARETTA Secretariat in Pangkalpinang.
Chairman of the BARETTA Regional Leadership Council (DPD) for Bangka Belitung Province, Nurul Ikhsan, reaffirmed his organization’s commitment to becoming an active partner of the Indonesian National Police (Polri) in maintaining public safety and order.
“We are ready to be active partners of the police in safeguarding the community, preventing social conflict, and supporting ongoing community development programs,” he stated.
He emphasized that BARETTA’s presence in Bangka Belitung is not merely symbolic but carries a real social mission to foster a safe, orderly, and law-conscious environment.
“We focus on educational and dialogue-based approaches, while upholding the spirit of mutual cooperation in all our community initiatives,” he added.
The event was attended by officials from Ditbinmas Polda Kep. Babel, including Head of Public Communication Section (Paur Sie Kommas), Sub-Directorate of Community Police Development (Subdit Bin Polmas), IPTU Ida Ketut Artha, S.H., and AKP Edi Purwanto, S.H., M.H. In his remarks, IPTU Ida Ketut Artha highlighted the importance of sustained collaboration between the police and partner organizations to maintain social stability.
“We highly appreciate BARETTA’s enthusiasm as a strategic partner. Such collaborations are crucial in expanding the reach of public security education and strengthening the community’s resilience against potential threats,” he said.
The meeting concluded with an interactive discussion session addressing future joint programs, including legal awareness training, anti-drug campaigns, and other social community activities.
This synergy is expected to position BARETTA as a role model for community organizations—active, productive, and contributing meaningfully to supporting the police’s mission at the grassroots level.
